‘Little Links’ meets on Tuesdays 6:00pm-8.30pm
This is an opportunity for the families of Additional needs children or children with Learning difficulties / physically disabled to enjoy an evening of ‘quality time’.
Our qualified and experienced staff provide supervision, plan activities and events that our families can do together.
So often we have heard from parents of additional needs children that most of their time is taken up with the care of that child and their other children are left to entertain themselves.
At Little Links, parents can concentrate precious time with their other children, as a complete family, on a 1-to-1 basis or interact with other families enjoying adult conversation chatting to parents with shared experience of the difficulties these families face on a day to day basis.
It also provides an opportunity for the whole family to interact and go out together which is so often made difficult in public places.
Sometimes the lack of understanding of the public can take the enjoyment out of activities of additional needs children.
The parents are solely responsible for their own children at Little Links but our enthusiastic staff are there to oversee and facilitate the participation of activities, both indoor and outdoor.
Our activities are suited for all abilities and provide the young people with a host of textures, colours and materials to work with.
